What is worth knowing about ecological carpets?

Environmental protection is important - everyone knows it, but not everyone is effectively involved in it. The climate change taking place on our planet affects all parts of the world, and extreme weather phenomena in the form of heat waves, storms and storms are the best evidence of this. Our small, daily choices are of enormous importance to the future of the Earth. A responsible, ecological approach to life is a priority today like never before. Meanwhile, mass production and consumption of textiles, including home textiles, such as bedding, carpeting or curtains, it ruins the environment. Should people for whom the topic of ecology is really important give up buying such products? Not necessarily. The so-called ecological carpets. What is their phenomenon?

Does an ecological carpet really exist?

Yes - and it has a whole host of advantages. But let's start by explaining what they really are eco carpets. Textiles referred to as this are made only from raw materials of natural origin and with the use of non-toxic dyes. Their production itself takes place in a more environmentally friendly way. Eco carpets meet many requirements for ecological textiles. For the production of such floor coverings, mainly cotton, linen, jute, sisal or coconut from controlled organic farms are used. To be absolutely sure that the rug meets our criteria, check the labels very carefully. From the markings placed on them, we will learn everything about certificates, approvals and ecological labels. From the buyer's point of view, the Natureplus label should be the most important. If we find a model with such a marking, we can be sure that the collection was made in min. 95% from renewable resources. Eco carpets marked with the Natureplus symbol have been produced without the use of substances that pose a threat to the environment and human health. The GuT symbol is a sign that no toxic chemicals have been used in the production of the pavement. This designation is awarded by the Association for Environmentally Friendly Carpets based in Germany.
