All kinds of carpets and rugs are ingenious accessories that allow you to redefine the character of your home or apartment. Ornaments in the form of carpets diversify the interior, adding coziness to the space and allowing to create a pleasant atmosphere in it. An important issue that all owners of these interior decorations have to face is their proper care. Due to their intended use, carpets on our floors are susceptible to various types of dirt. Carpets and carpets are often subject to dust and mechanical damage, which is as natural as possible and which usually simply cannot be avoided. One of the more difficult stains to remove are wax stains from a spilled candle. Fortunately, any wax residues from the carpet can be removed quickly and efficiently. There are several simple home remedies for this. We present the most important information on washing wax from carpets and restoring perfect cleanliness to textiles using proven solutions.

How do I remove wax from a carpet?

Each of us knows that candlelight is one of the best ways to bring warmth, joy and romantic atmosphere to your home. Burning candles are undoubtedly one of the obligatory elements of home decoration during the holiday season, when we want to create a unique atmosphere at home. Particularly popular are scented candles, traditional or in elegant glass, with which we can introduce a fairy-tale atmosphere to the bathroom or bedroom. It can be said without exaggeration that candles are a classic of the genre when it comes to decorating interiors, but in some respects a bit problematic. When lit, candles emit wax that can drip onto furniture or home textiles, creating unsightly and difficult-to-remove stains. Dripping wax can be especially dangerous to carpets and carpets. This type of dirt is quite difficult to remove; fortunately, there are ways too. Contrary to appearances, keeping a carpet clean is not as difficult as it may seem. We can remove wax stains using proven home methods. How to remove wax from a carpet to make it as effective as possible?

Carpet wax - how to get rid of it?

Wax from a spilled candle on a carpet does not mean that our favorite carpet is only fit to be thrown away. If wax is spilled on the pavement, however, act as quickly as possible. The first method worth recommending is very simple. Put a piece of old, clean, non-coloring fabric in the place of dirt (it can also be ordinary breakfast paper) and iron it. It is important not to set the iron knob to maximum temperature, but to use the medium heating level. The wax residue thus melted will soak into the fabric and be completely removed from the fleece and carpet. Remove any residues from the carpet with a sponge slightly soaked in soap or dishwashing liquid. Remember not to leave the soleplate on the fabric for longer than 30 seconds. To avoid a situation where the delicate bristles of the carpet would be damaged by the high temperature, it is recommended to use special preparations for removing wax on the carpet.

Washing wax off the carpet with alcohol

You can also try to remove stubborn wax stains on the carpet with alcohol. Putting a cloth soaked in alcohol on the dried stain will make the wax crumble faster. An alternative solution may be to perform such a procedure with the use of ice cubes. Remember that before you start working with the wax, do not try to wipe it with a brush. By scrubbing the surface of the carpet, we will only spread the stain to further parts of the carpet and we can damage the structure of its fleece.

How to wash off carpet wax - specialist preparations

If you still do not know how to remove wax from a carpet, try out ready-made preparations available in stores. They are perfect for this purpose professional cleaning agents wax from sidewalks and carpets. Due to their very good cleaning properties, such preparations are highly effective. Carpet cleaning products are not only effective but also efficient. Just a few drops applied to the spot of dirt is enough to dissolve even the most stubborn stains, including those not dissolving in water, such as candle wax, tar, chewing gum or printer ink. These agents are suitable for both synthetic-pile textile floor coverings and fine natural fiber rugs. How to wash off carpet wax with such a preparation? It is enough to spray it on the place of dirt and leave it to work. Collect the dissolved dirt with an absorbent, soft cloth.
